Hi Friends,

I am so excited to write this letter to you, my dearest friends.I am launching a non-profit, and I need your support to make it a success.

jhcamp is a weekend long camp for kids in SouthernCalifornia who have suffered the loss of a loved one and are grieving. During 2006, over 13,000 children in San Diego may be affected by the loss of a loved one. jhcamp will bring under-standing and acceptance of the grief process to these children,and will give them joy and hope for their futures.

The first camp in 2006 will be based in San Diego County,and I have a lot to do! I need to find volunteers to support thekids, staff to offer professional grief counseling, develop trainingmaterials, confirm a camp location and dates, raise funds, and,most importantly, find the children ages 13-17 who will benefit from jhcamp.

In the next few weeks, you will receive more information about jhcamp. I am hoping to schedule an official kick-offcelebration during January, 2006. Please keep your eyes and hearts open for the invitation. I won’t succeed without you.
